During four decades of its existence, Chicago’s juke and footwork culture spread all over the world, including Russia. The foundation of the WERK IT label in 2020 is dedicated to nourishing the emerging local producers and strengthening the feet and minds of our dancers.

WERKIT001 is our first VA compilation by ten local Juke/Footwork producers: DJ Keepriot, DJ Asuka, IPT Fidar, DJ Siberia, DJ Bomboklad, Funny Pr¥ce, DJ Abonement, DJ Webmoney, DJ Shortpenis, and DJ Doshirak.

Each track of this album reflects the personal influences and moods of the producers while capturing the bass energy of Ghetto House and the percussion exuberance of Footwork. This is a new start and we will come again in a while with fresh trax. Enjoy.
